Kamra also highlighted the positive impact this connection would have on Amritsar’s tourism. He said, “Many tourists want to visit Amritsar during their North India tour, especially when heading to the upper Himalayan tourism spots like Kullu, Manali, Kasol, Tirthan Valley, Lahaul and Spiti, Leh, and Ladakh.”
The Kullu-Manali Airport in Bhuntar will become a vital link for devotees visiting Manikaran Sahib. Previously, they had to fly from Chandigarh due to the lack of direct flights to Amritsar. With this new flight, pilgrims can now have a hassle-free journey to this sacred destination.
