Delhi: Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has signed an agreement to develop a Gateway hotel in Sector 83, Gurugram, marking a new addition to its pipeline in Haryana. The project will come up as a greenfield development in the New Gurugram area.
The company said the location has been selected in view of steady expansion in business activity across corporate, financial services and technology-linked sectors in the city’s newer commercial clusters.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development at IHCL, said Gurugram continues to strengthen its role as a commercial centre within the National Capital Region. She added that the project is positioned to serve demand for organised, full-service hotels in emerging business districts and confirmed the company’s partnership with developers Vijay Gupta and Amit Gupta.
The planned 220-key hotel will include multiple dining options, comprising an all-day restaurant, a bar, and a specialty restaurant. It will also feature a fitness centre and a swimming pool. A banquet facility of around 7,000 square feet is planned to support meetings, conferences and social events.
Amit Gupta of Orris Group said the development is intended to support the evolving commercial and social infrastructure of New Gurugram, with an emphasis on integrating hospitality services within the wider urban framework of the area.
With this signing, IHCL’s portfolio in Haryana will rise to 15 hotels, including six properties currently under development.
The project is being developed by Orris Group, a real estate company active in the Delhi NCR region with a portfolio spanning residential, commercial and retail developments, and ongoing projects across Gurugram and Greater Noida.
