New Delhi: IndiGo will begin daily flights linking Delhi with Guangzhou and Hanoi later this year, expanding its network across Asia. The airline said flights to Guangzhou in southern China will start on 10 November, followed by the Delhi–Hanoi service on 20 December.

According to an official statement, the new routes will operate with Airbus A320 aircraft. Flight 6E 1701 will leave Delhi each night at 9:45 p.m. and reach Guangzhou at 4:50 a.m. local time. The return service, flight 6E 1702, will depart Guangzhou at 5:50 a.m. and land in Delhi at 10:10 a.m.

The airline has already announced the resumption of Kolkata–Guangzhou flights from 26 October. The Delhi–Guangzhou route will provide an additional direct connection from India.

From 20 December, IndiGo will also launch a daily service between Delhi and Hanoi. The airline presently operates 14 weekly flights from Kolkata to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The new Delhi–Hanoi route will extend direct connections from northern India to the Vietnamese capital.

Vinay Malhotra, head of global sales at IndiGo, said the additional services would expand direct connectivity with China and Vietnam. He said the connections create potential for greater movement between major Asian cities in trade, education and tourism.

Guangzhou is a commercial and manufacturing centre in southern China, while Hanoi serves as the capital and administrative hub of Vietnam. The country has been attracting growing interest among Indian travellers. The city has been attracting growing interest among Indian travellers. IndiGo said the new routes are part of a continuing effort to strengthen air links between India and key Asian destinations.

The tickets for the new services can be booked through its website and mobile application. IndiGo currently connects nearly thirty international destinations across Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

Industry analysts noted that other carriers, including Air India, VietJet and China Southern, are also increasing regional flight capacity. The launch of daily flights from Delhi provides additional options for travellers moving between India, China and Vietnam.
