The Kangra Valley train runs through the sub-Himalayan region, covering a distance of 164 kilometers from Pathankot to Jogindernagar. It travels over 933 bridges and through 2 tunnels, passing picturesque rivers and mountains which provide a truly thrilling experience for passengers.

The entire route commands stunning views of the snow-capped Dhauladhar Mountain range and showcases various historical, artistic, and cultural aspects. Running since April 1, 1929, this is the only train that gets so close to the eternal snow.

The entire journey, which includes 31 stations, takes around nine hours. Each ride on the Kangra Valley train is a deeply rewarding experience, offering a unique way to enjoy the beauty of the Kangra Valley.
