Even though the region provide the country with uncanny and pristine beauty and present exceptionally high literacy rates, their other developmental indicators remain surprisingly low. A sustainable model for the development of these states should be based on taking up a holistic approach which is flexible enough to adjust and adapt according to the time and situation and therefore, can go a long way to address the issues which these states are facing.
