The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) is all set to link tourism with the apple industry. By introducing ‘apple blossom tour package’ this summer the visitors will be taken to blooming apple orchards in Kotgarh, Narkanda, Shilaroo and other nearby places.
The tour will cover Matyana-Shilaroo-Kandyali upto Kotgarh by HPTDC deluxe buses. The charges are Rs 1000 per person ex Shimla for 01 day tour which will cover transportation, lunch and tea with snacks at Himachal Tourism hotels on the way. Second package includes 01 night stay at Hotel Hatu, Narkanda along with bed tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner. Charges of the package are Rs 3500 per person.
Apple orchards in Himachal can entice a lot of people and tourists can be easily drawn to the farms once the facilities get into place. Tourists would get a chance to explore countryside life during the harvest season. One can enjoy the blooms of various fruits or pluck farm fresh fruits and experience the fresh flavour of the fruits.
