Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Department of Industries will organise the HIM MSME Fest 2026 from January 3 to 5 at The Ridge here. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is scheduled to inaugurate the event, which seeks to connect MSMEs, artisans, startups and women-led ventures with buyers, investors and e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Walmart and ONDC.
Organised by the Department of Industries, the event will feature expert sessions on funding, digital marketing, exports, and e-commerce integration, fostering collaborations between startups and established players.
Additional Chief Secretary for Industries R. D. Nazeem said the event is planned as a platform to connect enterprise activity from Himachal Pradesh with trade networks outside the state. Roundtable discussions and one-to-one meetings will also take place to support direct business interaction.
Focus on Market Access
Buyer-seller meetings will highlight One District One Product (ODOP) items like haldi milk and dairy products, alongside handicrafts, handlooms, organic goods, food processing and pharmaceuticals. Sessions on funding, digital marketing, exports and e-commerce will address practical challenges for participants.
Events for Women and Startups
A state-level networking meet for women entrepreneurs is planned for January 4, offering policy guidance and connections. The opening day includes a startup awards ceremony, cultural programmes and displays of handmade shawls and factory outlets.
Officials from the Union Ministry of MSME, NITI Aayog, DPIIT and a BRICS Chamber delegation will attend, supporting Himachal’s efforts towards industrial self-reliance. The initiative aims to generate business opportunities for local enterprises.
