Perched at an altitude of 14,500 ft is Sach Pass lying on the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas. It is considered one of the hardest treks among all other mountain passes of Himachal. Sach pass is the Gateway to Pangi Valley and by far the shortest route to Killar (headquarters of Pangi Valley) used not only by the tourists but by the locals as well.
The curvy narrow roads, numerous water crossings, striking landscapes and the indifferent climatic conditions encountered on this pass are mesmerizing in spite of being treacherous. Nothing can be seen except the green and white, the trees, mountains and the waterfalls, clouds, and ice.
The notorious pass remains operational only between June to October. You will love the way to the pass, its picturesque weather, and sights. Journey across the pass is adventurous and thrilling attracting a lot of off-road travellers. Chamba to Pangi via Saach Paas can be called an incredible journey. The exciting way leading to the exciting Pangi valley of Chamba which takes not less than 3 days to explore, is a must try thing to every traveller.
