The e-visa program allows visitors with regular passports to stay in Japan for up to 90 days on a single-entry basis. This initiative is expected to benefit tourists travelling by air from countries including India, Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Applying for an e-Visa
Applicants can submit their e-visa applications online through the official Japanese government website. The application process requires uploading necessary documents and paying the visa fee electronically. The status of the application will be communicated via email to the registered address.

It is important to note that approval of the e-visa may involve an interview at the nearest Japanese consulate. Successful applicants will receive their e-visa electronically, eliminating the need for a physical visa sticker in their passports.
